Here you will discover the joy of being away from it all AND having easy access to the adventures awaiting you in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Pigeon Forge, Townsend and Gatlinburg.

Mountain Mist exudes warmth and comfort, featuring wood walls and floors that create an inviting atmosphere. At the heart of the living area, a stacked stone wood burning fireplace serves as the focal point for cozy gatherings. Comfortable leather furniture adds a touch of luxury and rugged elegance with a sofa bed and loveseat arranged to encourage conversation and relaxation. A flat-screen TV is thoughtfully positioned for easy viewing. A creative stained glass window featuring 3 bears and large windows invite natural light.

The open layout of this cozy cabin allows for easy movement between the living area, dining space and kitchen, making it ideal for entertaining or family time. The fully equipped kitchen blends rustic charm with modern convenience. Its beautiful granite countertops offer ample space for meal preparation and for casual dining with 2 adjacent bar stools.

The beautifully crafted wood dining table (set with attractive dishes) sits next to a large picture window that offers a stunning view of the mountains. It's the perfect place for a hearty breakfast or intimate dinner. The adjacent bar counter is convenient for setting up a delicious buffet or for creating a family style dinner. Tucked in a corner on this level is a full size bath decorated in the cabin's charming rustic style that has a standing shower and a granite vanity topped sink.

Upstairs, each of the 2 cozy bedrooms feature a charming sleigh bed crafted from rich wood. Soft, comfortable quilts sets in natural colors create an inviting sanctuary for rest and relaxation. You can unwind watching a good movie on the flat screened TV, relax reading a good book or open the windows to drift off to sleep listening to the sounds of nature. Between the 2 bedrooms, the master bath features a beautiful stone walk-in shower, wood cabinetry and a granite vanity countertop.

Nestled on a covered porch, the cabin's hot tub offers a perfect escape in a tranquil wooded setting. This serene spot is ideal for soaking way life's stresses while enjoying the beauty of the forest.

Everyone's favorite spot is the spacious wraparound porch. On one side, a row of charming rocking chairs rock gently in the breeze, a perfect spot for early morning coffee. In the afternoon, relax, kick back and enjoy the warmth of the sunshine and view of the mountains stretching into the distance. Around the corner, light the sturdy charcoal grill and and enjoy the scent of charcoal wafting through the air hinting at the barbecue to come. As the sun sets behind the mountains, the warm glow adds a magical touch to each evening.

Pet-friendly amenities ensure that your furry friend feel right at home, with plenty of space to explore inside and outside. The wrap around porch has a sliding gate door that clips closed to contain your furry friend so he or she can relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air with you.

Year-round fishing and seasonal pool access can be enjoyed nearby. Playing Hooky has a membership for your use to the Honeysuckle Meadows Pool & Deli located approximately 3 ½ miles from the cabin in Wears Valley. Fishing pole rentals are available onsite during the summer season.

Make plans to go fishing, swimming, hiking or tubing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park located just 4 miles from the cabin via the Wears Valley/Line Springs Road entrance. Just inside the Park entrance is Metcalf Bottoms, a fantastic picnic area that features tables, grills, and the cool waters of the Little River.

Day driving trips through Cades Cove, to Kuwohi (Formerly Clingmans Dome), around the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, to the Mountain Farm Museum & Mingus Mill near Cherokee or on the Tail of the Dragon always make fun & enjoyable outings. The entrance to the new scenic Wears Valley/Walland section of the Foothills Parkway which took over 50 years to complete is located just 5 miles from Mountain Mist.

For local dining near the cabin, some favorites are: Grandmother’s Kitchen, Elvira’s Café, Pawpaw’s Cajun Kitchen, Sloppy Hog Burger Joint, and the Wear Valley Social Food Truck Park.

Emotional Support Animals: Per official ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) guidance, emotional support animals (ESAs) are not covered by federal public accommodations laws. We do not accept emotional support animals in non-pet friendly cabins since these animals are not protected by any applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations regarding short term lodging in Tennessee. Renters with emotional support animals may only bring their ESA with them if they are staying in a pet friendly cabin and pay the relevant $75.00 non-refundable pet fee. Renters with service animals for a disability are explicitly protected under both federal and state law. The ADA defines service animals as dogs that have been “trained to perform a task directly related to a person’s disability.” Service animals are explicitly protected under both state and federal law, and, as such, are welcome in any of our cabins.
